Scholarships

Tuition grants are provided to International students enrolled at local universities and polytechnics by the Ministry of Education (MOE) provided that the students work for three years upon graduation, either in a company or an institute overseas which is Singapore-registered. Bursaries up to SGD 1,500 per year are awarded on a financial need basis.

Laws and Ethics

Singapore is Asia’s Cleanest and Greenest metropolis and this has only been a result of strict law enforcement against littering. The country is strict on laws. Discarding small items like cigarette butts would cost you S$200 while bigger items discarded in public would incite heavy fine and a court hearing. Chewing gum is mostly banned in public and if improper discard is found, may cost you heavily with regards to the fine imposed. Even pedestrian walking rules are strictly imposed and lead to penalties if not followed. But it is only due to all these strict laws that Singapore has become such a beautiful and hygienic place to live in.
